My favorite sim studio kits at every budget

My favorite Sim quick setups at every budget (prices subject to change and are accurate at time of this posting)

These solutions are fairly out of the box and quick to set up.

Barebones (Launch Monitor + Net + Mat) ~$1500

This setup is more like a "premium barebones" because  you can still def find a cheaper net and mat if you are really strapped. But in my opinion paying a little more than the minimum for the net will make you feel more safe, and not skimping on the mat will help you avoid injuries from poor contact.

Launch Monitor - MLM2 Pro

Net - Go Sports Elite

Mat - EZ Tee Hybrid

Entry level Prosumer - Skytrak+ Net + Mat~$3900

The same mat and net as above but with the Skytrak+ Launch Monitor. The Skytrak+ is a nice upgrade into Prosumer level data and functionality with the best in class software for practice and game improvement.

Lauch Monitor - Skytrak+ add on the protective case for piece of mind

Net - Go Sports Elite

Mat - EZ Tee Hybrid

Full sim studio Prosumer - Multiple Options $6000 - $8000

These options include full enclosure, hitting screen, projector, and launch monitor. Note: Though most of these can function off an ipad pro or even an iphone, at this level you may want an entry level gaming computer which is not included.

Skytrak+ Golf Simulator Studio Package - Dada Golf's choice - Prosumer data, multiple course simulation options and the best software for practice. For this category of simulator, this is the best combination of everything you need in a sim and at a value as its towards the lower end of the price range.

Flightscope Mevo+ Sim Studio + pro package add - Best for when you have both RH/LH using the sim regularly. Better than Skytrak+ for outdoor use on a grass range but harder to setup indoors requires stickers on the golf ball and a larger practice space.

Bushnell Launch Pro Sim studio with Ball and club data from Play Better Sports - The premium priced option, with a significantly higher total cost of ownership, but with some pro level upgrades. If you will use this for mainly on course sim with friends and don't need the club data for practice, you can lower your unit cost by 1500-2000 dollars which brings the total cost more in line with the above options (note the package does not include the 500 dollar annual gold membership - required for sim play - beyond a 14 day trial)

Full sim studio Professional Grade $20,000 +

Professional level launch monitors = massive price jump. At this price point you're not messing around, and you should heavily be considering a custom or semi custom DIY enclosure.

Uneekor EyeXo Simkit - Ceiling mounted unit for better protection from kids, guests, pets + more compatible for RH, LH

Foresight Sports Golf Sim, Eagle Package (via Costco) - Industry leading, optical launch monitor. This side on unit is portable(which also makes it more susceptible to damage). Commonly used by tour, fitting and instructor professionals, referred to as the most accurate side on unit on the market.

Noteables/questions:

Why no trackman in Professional Grade recos?
Trackman doesnt offer any bundle packages that I know of. The price for a trackman IO with club data is ~$21,000 for just the launch monitor. + 1100 annual subscription. If you're entering this stratosphere of level of simulator, a quick setup is probably less part of the equation. But if you do want to spend that much on a unit and still want a quick setup, you can buy premium sim studio packages without a launch monitor included, like The Sig 12 sim studio complete package

What can you tell me about DIY?
If you have a space for it, and youre willing to do a lot of legwork, and i mean a lot, you can build your own custom, full DIY, high end premium studio enclosure out for ~$2k. Then add whatever projector and launch monitor system you want. Your studio will look like it costs 10x+ of what you spent to build it out. I recommend this if you have the space in your home and the time to do it. You can also hybrid DIY the project where you build some items on your own and purchase others from a retailer.

My DIY home enclosure is picture below and features: custom sized wall to wall frame/screen, sound absorbing ceiling pads, faux leather tile side panels, premium grade turf, hitting strip & subfloor at a total cost of ~$1800
